Terms and Conditions

  1. General Information:
  2. Slow Portugal, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda, with tax ID (NIPC) 516039326, hereinafter “Slow Portugal”, owner of the website www.slowportugal.pt, aims to define the terms and general conditions of sale between Slow Portugal and the user, with “user” meaning any individual who uses our services, provided this cannot be attributed to their commercial or professional activity.
  3. The services advertised and promoted by Slow Portugal are carried out, produced, supplied and provided by third parties—reliable and qualified suppliers/Partners—under the terms defined in the partnership agreements entered into between them and Slow Portugal.
  4. The Website is not the provider of the services indicated or the supplier of the products mentioned in the Vouchers. These services and products are provided and supplied by the Partners identified and indicated in each experience.
  5. Slow Portugal advertises and promotes numerous experiences, which may be enjoyed by the legitimate holders of a digital-format Voucher purchased exclusively on the website www.slowportugal.pt.
  6. The purchase of any Voucher marketed by Slow Portugal implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by both purchasers and holders. They are accepted upon order confirmation. They are available on the Website and may be read, printed or saved.
  7. Slow Portugal acts in the name and on behalf of the aforementioned suppliers, as a mere intermediary between the holder of a Voucher and the suppliers of the respective experiences.
  8. Slow Portugal ensures compliance with the principles of personal data protection, in accordance with applicable legislation. To find out how your personal data is processed, please consult the privacy policy available on this website.

2. Purchase and Delivery of the Voucher:

  1. On the website www.slowportugal.pt, you can purchase an e-voucher for a specific experience by selecting the desired quantity. The purchaser must fill in their personal details and choose a payment method.
  2. The Voucher, in digital format, will be sent by email to the email address provided by the user at the time of ordering, after the validity of the procedures indicated above has been verified.
  3. All Vouchers will be identified by a code that the Partner will verify when they are used.
  4. Reproduction, editing or tampering with Vouchers is not permitted. In the event of a well-founded suspicion of unauthorised reproduction, Slow Portugal reserves the right to initiate the appropriate legal proceedings.
  5. Each Voucher may only be used once with the Partner. If the Voucher value is not used in full or the service is not fully used, the unused balance expires and no refund will be issued.
  6. Use of the Voucher must always be arranged in advance with the Partner.
  7. If the Voucher indicates a validity period, it may only be used with the Partner within that validity period.
  8. The voucher has a specific validity period stated on it; therefore, booking the experience and taking it must both occur within the stated period, otherwise the rights granted by the Voucher will be irrevocably lost.
  1. Customers must keep the Voucher payment receipt for the validity period indicated in the previous point, so that Slow Portugal can resolve any issues. Without this document, Slow Portugal will not be able to identify and resolve any issue with a Voucher that is not valid for use.
  • It will not be possible to exchange, renew or extend the validity of Vouchers during or after the expiry date. The voucher will therefore be automatically cancelled and all rights of use granted by it will be lost.
  • In the event of non-use, loss, theft or destruction of the Voucher, the holder and/or purchaser may not claim any compensation or use of it.

3. Booking, Scheduling and Taking the Experiences:

  1. Booking the experience described on the Voucher must be made directly with the corresponding partner responsible for providing it. The booking is considered valid if it complies with the reservation policy of the respective supplier. The purchaser or voucher holder must receive confirmation from the supplier by phone or email.

  2. When taking the experience, the Voucher holder must present it as payment to the supplier responsible for organising, delivering and producing the selected experience, and must attend at the place and date booked in accordance with the instructions provided by the supplier at the time of booking/reservation.
  3. All experiences are subject to the conditions, availability and specific rules of the selected Partner, in particular regarding booking changes, age limits and the Customer’s physical condition. They may also depend on weather conditions or a minimum number of participants to take place.
  • Any and all restrictions must be communicated by the partners and described on the Slow Portugal website. These are the sole responsibility of the partner.
  • The duration of the experiences is approximate and for indicative purposes only.
  • The information provided by Slow Portugal about the experiences is for indicative purposes only and is not binding. The partner is responsible for all information relating to the experiences and all circumstances relating to their preparation, delivery and use. Slow Portugal cannot be held liable for any matter of this nature.
  • The photographs used to promote the experiences may come from image banks or be provided directly by partners. These photographs and illustrations are for illustrative purposes only, are not binding, and are protected by intellectual property rights. It is therefore expressly forbidden to alter, reproduce, publish or transmit any of this content to third parties without prior authorisation.
  • If users of the experiences have any physical and/or mental limitations, these must be clearly communicated either to Slow Portugal, if contacted for that purpose, or to the experience providers at the time of booking. If no such communication is made, the partner reserves the right not to carry out the experience.

4. Cancellations and Liability:

  1. Weather conditions may affect the delivery of certain experiences. Therefore, if an experience is cancelled, the purchaser/voucher holder must contact the partner (the experience supplier) to make a new booking. Any matter related to this must be resolved with the supplier in question, and Slow Portugal is not responsible for it. However, it may act as a mediator between the purchaser/voucher holder and the supplier.
  2. Partners, as providers and suppliers of the services and products, assume responsibility for them, namely regarding their use, quality, safety or any other aspect of the use of the Products.
  3. Experience suppliers are covered by insurance in the amounts required by law, as are those contracted by suppliers of products and services related to the experiences. Notwithstanding, customers must ensure that they have all the physical and mental conditions required to take part in the experiences, and that they comply with all rules related to the experience.
  • Slow Portugal acts as an intermediary between the partners and suppliers of the experiences and the purchasers of the vouchers, promoting various products and services from its partners. Under no circumstances does Slow Portugal act as the organiser, supplier or provider of the experiences promoted on its website and enjoyed and used by purchasers/holders of the vouchers. As such, Slow Portugal cannot be held liable for any matter relating to the organisation, delivery, production, supply and provision of the experiences, their booking and/or cancellation or postponement, cases of non-performance or poor performance, as well as any other issues or consequences related, directly or indirectly, to the provision of the experiences. However, it may try to facilitate mediation between purchasers/voucher holders and the corresponding suppliers.

5. Right of Withdrawal:

  1. The voucher purchaser has 14 days, counted from the date the purchaser receives the voucher, to withdraw from the contract without paying compensation and without having to give a reason. To do so, please contact our services by email: apoio@slowportugal.pt or by phone: +351 912 904 726, stating your intention.
  2. If the voucher has already been used, in whole or in part, before the withdrawal period has elapsed, the user is obliged to return the amount corresponding to the services used or from which they benefited. The user may avoid the obligation to return that amount if they only use the voucher once they have decided not to exercise the right of withdrawal;
  3. If this withdrawal request is made outside the period stipulated under the terms described above, the purchaser is not entitled to cancel their purchase.
  4. When the right of withdrawal has been duly exercised by the purchaser, Slow Portugal is obliged to refund, within a maximum of 14 days counted from receipt of the withdrawal statement, the amounts paid by the user for the purchase of the voucher.

6. Intellectual Property:

  1. All elements and content on this website are owned by Slow Portugal, whether trademarks, information, illustrations, images, photographs, logos, videos and published databases, and are protected by copyright and trademark and patent laws. Any unauthorised use or reproduction of this content is expressly prohibited. All images on the Website are for illustrative purposes only.

7. Alternative dispute resolution

  1. The provisions of this clause apply exclusively to sales made to the final consumer, as defined in Law No. 24/96 of 31 July, as amended.
  2. Under Regulation (EU) 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the User may access the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/odr, where information is provided on the possibility of using it to resolve disputes. The Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.pt) also provides information on the Alternative Dispute Resolution entities available for promoting the out-of-court settlement of national and cross-border disputes under Law No. 144/2015 of 8 September, as amended, when they are initiated by a consumer against a supplier of goods or a service provider and concern contractual obligations arising from purchase and sale or service provision contracts entered into between suppliers of goods or service providers established and consumers resident in Portugal and in the European Union.

Any personal data you provide to us will be processed in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices, ensuring all technical and organisational security measures to protect it, and will be used for the purpose identified at the point of collection, namely to fulfil your purchase order and improve your experience on our website.
